With the help of a $5,000 grant written by Village clerk Sharyn Bower, one phase in the management plan for the Elberta Dunes South natural area was begun and completed today, June 27. Kerby’s won the bid to grade and gravel a portion of the property. The parking area will remain gravel surfaced until more money is raised; in the meantime, other plans include a trail map station, benches, a viewing platform at the top, and more signage. If you’d like to join the management committee, you certainly may.
